Love this! I agree that in the ideal way it will be nice to have a month to explore our travel destination. But sometimes, we just have to do with the time we have. Thanks for sharing. Japan is one of the place I really want to visit.

Years ago I spent something like 4 days in Tokyo and
Yokohama on business and as Will and his dad found, it was a very interesting experience.

I think the things that impressed me the most was how
friendly and helpful the people were and how safe it
is.

I was amazed that people selling marbles at the
train station would just leave their wares unattended without fear that anyone would take them. Also unattended and unlocked bicycles everywhere. I don't know of any other place where you could do that.

I'm really glad to hear that! While traveling for long stretches of time and seeing a country from one end to another is of course ideal, many of us don't have the luxury of taking off more than 2 weeks off at a time (or less). I have been wanting to go to Asia, but have been putting it off for fear that I don't have enough time to see enough of it to be worth it. So I'm happy to hear that it is doable!

I'd love a week in Japan. This is a gem to tuck away.

I find it amazing that you Yanks get so little time off work, sometimes life is so unfair. But I suppose it serves you right for being American.

Before I worked for myself I use to get 6 weeks off and that wasn’t enough....! And you think you are the best nation in the world, what a joke....!
